Very quiet park, check in people are very nice and helpful, all staff were great. Yes it's a big hill, but the peace and quiet makes you forget the hill. Will gladly go again, but will reserve a golf cart to get around. Lol. Great prices too!! I cannot forget the seasonal campers that stay there, they were very nice and friendly and make you feel welcome
Over this past weekend, my sister came up from Georgia to visit. As I live on the lake and love to be out kayaking, this was an activity planned for the whole family. We chose to rent the extra kayaks we needed (we had 6/10) from this campground because it was local and fairly priced. I called Friday morning to see what was available and spoke to a rude woman, but got the information needed. The call cut out so I attempted to call back to apologize for the abrupt ending but no answer. I sent the address to my sister so she could pick the rentals up and meet me at my house. I got a call from her saying that they had to be launched there per policy, fair enough, so they unloaded them and came to pick up the others so we could all launch together. When I got there my sister was speaking to a polite woman who asked for a drivers license to hold for the rentals. My sister handed over her license and phone number, not a problem. The lady wished us a great time and we were off! Then she returned with another woman who charged at us like we were robbing her, demanding to have our car keys because we could just leave the license behind. My sister calmly explains to her that she will not hand over her rental car keys, they are from out of state and there were too many valuables they were traveling with for her to feel comfortable leaving her keys behind. We offered her personal keys for her house, personal car, my car keys (though I did not drive there) other IDs, etc. The crude woman's response was not even slightly compromising. She yelled that we could take our business else where,! With every suggestion we made, trying to let my sister keep her keys, the lady retorted that we should just leave, acting like we were trying to make off with these kayaks! Now, at this point we have 5 adults and 5 kids geared up to kayak on the lake and 6 kayaks that we OWN unloaded and ready to go. And not that it should matter but we were in new vehicles with probably $2,000 worth of kayaks on a trailer, we are clean, hard working, respectable people and this judgement we received was appalling. It takes my Aunt who didn't even rent a kayak to put all of her valuables into my sisters rental and hand over her car keys. The lady had the audacity to even question why we would bring valuables in our cars to begin with! As she tests the "beeper" to insure we aren't lying to her about those being the car keys, she finally lets us launch. As we exited the water 3 hours later, we were watched like hawks until everything was paid and returned. (The deposit is upfront, you pay additional hours after) Then and only then did we get treated with a smile.
Great facilities, well run family business, close to Conesus Lake, in Livingston County, with access to lake activities.
If it were not for kids waiting to go, we would of taken our business elsewhere. Next time, we most definitely will.
Used campground as base camp to kayak Hemlock, and do some hiking in area. Wouls reserve again if return to area.
Wonderful staff! We had a problem with our trailer when we arrived and they were more than helpful.
The place gets a 5 star for customer service, 4 star for peace and quiet, only 3 star for topography, Holy Cow two directions only UP or DOWN, 10% grade in some spots.
